Show and Tell Letter N – List of Words and Tips to Prep for the Show and Tell Day

Show-and-Tell-Letter-N

Need a list of words starting with N to help you, preschooler, ace the show and tell? I’ve got your back. When I was in preschool, show and tell days used to be a real doozy.

My mom and I would spend an entire day looking for stuff I can bring to school. Before I get to the list of words, here a few tips to help you and your junior optimize the prep day:

Things to Do to Make Show and Tell a Resounding Success:

Don’t wait till the eleventh hour to start scouting around the house in search of items to bring for show and tell. I’ve found myself looking for things that start with the letter “Z” at 6:30 in the morning on a Monday. It made my soul scream.

1. Go through your kid’s bookshelf to see if you can find a book whose name begins with your letter.

2. Scour through their toys to find figurines and stuffed animals that correspond to the letter you need.

3. Get them to draw a picture of something that starts with the letter, like a nose of Nemo of Finding Nemo.

4. Make them cut out pictures from the magazine.

4. Scrabble letter, magnet letters will also do the trick if you are running out of options.

5. Try finding a picture of a family member of a celebrity whose name starts with N.

6. And finally, my favorite – take printouts of the chosen objects. Don’t know how to bring back Nelson Mandela from the dead and fit into the backpack? Easy, take a printout of his picture!

7. Make sure your kids are involved in the process since they are the ones learning the alphabets, not us.

8. Avoid sending anything valuable. Children are, well, children. They tend to lose stuff.

Get creative. If you are running out of time and your name starts with the letter of the day, let your child bring you to school. Aren’t I a genius?
